Privacy Policy

A complete account of the customer, delivery, payment-boundary, support and website data used to run Shadeleaf.

Wind safety
Screening fabric catches wind. Secure every fixing point and remove or retract products before strong winds or storms. Never use any screen as a structural barrier, load-bearing element or climbing support.
Permission and building rules
No-drill does not mean permission-free. Renters must obtain approval from their landlord, property manager or owners’ association and check building appearance rules before installation.

Who is responsible

PROCLADD (SCOTLAND) LIMITED, at 8 Candymill Lane, Bothwell Bridge Business Park, Scotland, ML3 0FD, United Kingdom, is the data controller for personal data collected through Shadeleaf at procladdscott.shop. Contact our privacy team at support@procladdscott.shop.

We operate from Scotland and apply UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where applicable, we also address EU GDPR and California privacy rights.

What we collect

We collect contact data such as name, email and phone; delivery and billing addresses; country; order lines, quantities and selected sizes; payment-status and membership identifiers; support messages; consent records; and balcony dimensions, railing details or bulk-order requirements that you choose to send.

We also collect limited device, browser, IP address, cookie choice, security-event and page-interaction data needed to operate, protect and improve the store.

Collection sources

We collect personal data directly from you when you complete checkout, contact support, request Measure Help, submit a bulk-order enquiry, join a membership, manage billing or exercise a privacy right.

We receive transaction status, billing country, refund, dispute, invoice and subscription identifiers from Stripe or PayPal; delivery events from warehouses, postal operators and couriers; anti-fraud or security signals from payment and hosting providers; and consented analytics from your browser. We do not buy customer lists or obtain personal data from data brokers.

Stripe and PayPal collect complete payment-card or wallet credentials directly under their own notices. Shadeleaf does not receive or store your complete card number or security code.

Shipping address, order and fulfilment data

For physical-product order fulfilment we process the recipient name, shipping address, delivery instructions, email, phone where needed by the carrier, country, ordered SKU, selected size, quantity, parcel reference, customs information, dispatch status, tracking events, delivery confirmation and any return or replacement history.

We use this order and fulfilment data to validate the delivery destination, pick and pack the correct screen or bundle, create shipping and customs documents, provide tracking, investigate lost or damaged parcels, process returns and refunds, prevent fraud and meet accounting and consumer-law duties.

We disclose only the delivery data needed by the relevant warehouse, fulfilment partner, postal operator, courier or customs authority. Payment billing data remains within the payment-provider boundary except for limited status and address information needed to reconcile the order.

Why we use it and legal bases

  • Contract: to price, process, deliver and support orders; manage memberships; provide tracking; handle returns and refunds.
  • Consent: for optional marketing, non-essential analytics and lead follow-up where consent is required. Consent can be withdrawn.
  • Legitimate interests: to prevent fraud, secure the site, answer product and measure questions, improve navigation and keep proportionate business records.
  • Legal obligation: for tax, accounting, consumer-rights, payment dispute and regulatory records.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with hosting, database and infrastructure providers; Stripe and PayPal for payment and billing; email delivery providers for receipts and support; analytics and cookie providers where consented; and postal, courier, warehouse and fulfilment partners for physical delivery and returns.

Delivery carriers receive the recipient name, shipping address, phone or email where needed for delivery updates, parcel information and customs data. Advisers, regulators or law enforcement may receive data where legally required. We do not provide customer data to an AI provider because this physical-product store does not use customer data for generative output.

International transfers

Our worldwide fulfilment and technology providers may process data outside the United Kingdom or EEA. Where adequacy does not apply, we use recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and proportionate transfer-risk assessments.

Retention and deletion

Checkout leads and uncompleted checkout details are retained for no more than 24 months. Contact, Measure Help and bulk-order enquiries are ordinarily deleted or anonymised within 24 months after the request is closed. Delivery tracking and routine fulfilment communications are ordinarily kept for 24 months after delivery or case closure.

Order, refund, payment-status, return and tax records are generally kept for up to seven years where accounting, consumer-law or legal obligations require it. Active membership data is retained while the membership continues and then according to the applicable order, tax and dispute period. Cookie retention varies by cookie and is listed in our Cookie Policy.

When a retention period ends, we delete the data from active systems or irreversibly anonymise it, then allow encrypted backups to expire on their normal rotation. We may suspend deletion only for a documented dispute, fraud investigation, legal claim or regulatory hold, and delete the data when that hold ends.

GDPR and CCPA rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or withdrawal of consent. UK and EEA residents may complain to their supervisory authority; UK residents may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office. California residents may request to know, correct or delete covered information and may exercise rights without discriminatory treatment. We verify requests proportionately and usually respond within the legally required period.

Do Not Sell or Share

Shadeleaf does not sell personal information for money and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that practice changes, we will update this notice and provide the legally required opt-out control before the change takes effect.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies operate the cart, checkout security, administrator session and cookie choices. Optional analytics is used only after the consent required in your location. You can change non-essential choices using the cookie control and learn purposes and durations in our Cookie Policy.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport, server-side secret handling, payment-provider boundaries, signed administrator sessions, webhook verification, limited retention and service monitoring. No system is risk-free; if a breach creates legally reportable risk, we will notify affected people and regulators as required.

Automated decisions and children

Screen Finder uses simple answer-to-product rules and does not make legal or similarly significant decisions. We do not use solely automated decision-making with such effects.

Children under 13 may not use the site. Visitors aged 13–17 need a parent or guardian’s consent, and all product measurement and installation must be completed by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Complaints and contact

Contact support@procladdscott.shop first so we can investigate. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or, where applicable, your local EEA supervisory authority or California privacy regulator. Exercising a right does not affect your consumer rights.
