Screening fabric catches wind. Secure every fixing point and remove or retract products before strong winds or storms. Never use any screen as a structural barrier, load-bearing element or climbing support.
No-drill does not mean permission-free. Renters must obtain approval from their landlord, property manager or owners’ association and check building appearance rules before installation.
Wind and structural boundary
Screening fabric catches wind. Secure every fixing point and remove or retract products before strong winds or storms. Never use any screen as a structural barrier, load-bearing element or climbing support. A privacy screen can increase wind load on a railing or fence. Do not install on loose, damaged or unsuitable structures. Our products do not make a railing safer and never replace compliant balustrades.
Permission and appearance rules
No-drill does not mean permission-free. Renters must obtain approval from their landlord, property manager or owners’ association and check building appearance rules before installation. This includes rules for apartment facades, common areas, historic buildings, colour, height, outward-facing surfaces and overhead shade.
Fire, heat and children
Keep all fabrics and artificial greenery away from barbecues, open flames, heaters and cigarettes. Keep clear of cooking equipment even when no flame is visible. Installation and removal must be performed by an adult. Do not let children climb, pull or play on panels, fabric, ropes or bases.
Fixing and inspection
Use every supplied tie, clip, clamp, hook or weighted base in the intended position. Do not substitute damaged parts, overtighten glass or decorative rails, create trip hazards, or attach overhead shade to an unapproved point. Inspect after weather and before seasonal reuse.
Product-specific limits
- Shade sails are breathable shade, not weatherproof roofs.
- Windbreaks soften ordinary breezes but are not rated storm barriers.
- Artificial foliage is decorative, not a live plant and may fade with prolonged exposure.
- Deck tiles require a stable, level, draining surface and must not block outlets.
- Cutting roll materials permanently changes them and makes change-of-mind returns unavailable.
